Easter

It seems as though everyone and their mother posted pictures of candy-filled baskets and egg hunts on facebook this year.  I have decided to jump back into the blogosphere with some snaps of the cutest Beana EVER!!

Easter this year was wonderful.  Zoey picked out her own dress:  

Easter ballerina!!  She was so proud of that dress; she waved and smiled at everyone at the dinner -like a Queen.

And Daddy gave her an early Easter present. ("Richie the Repeating Rabbit," it's like Tom, the cat app on some phones, but in 3-D).  In our house, this little bunny's name is Kiki.  Yes, Kiki.  :)

My Mom came to visit us this year.  It was so good to see her and hang out for a few hours.  We tried to get her to stay the weekend, but maybe next year. 

On our way to the dinner buffet, I sat in the backseat with Zoey and Kiki (and yes, Bunny Bunny too)!

We had a very "adventureous" time at The Hotel's buffet.  The experience reminded me of long ago when Dad took the family out with Grandma Bea and we got stuck with horrific service  - and Dad went searching for silverware in the restaurant...  remember that, Tracy?!  I was mortified at the time.  NOW, I get it.  I'm the Mom...  John's quite the Dad.   and Damnit, we got our silverware... and drinks...  and a discount too.  ;) 

It was fun to get dressed up and spend time with Mom and the Millers and Bill and Sarah too!  We need to do that more often!!  (We'll just leave the poor, disorganized Hotel out of it.)  ;)

Easter in a polka-dot dress.

This Easter we decided to keep things as simple as possible. We stayed in town (choosing to see my side of the family a different weekend). Zoey wore a dress graciously handed down from a friend (I love recycling and hand me downs!) Instead of cooking, we ate the big dinner at a local hotel. One famous for its holiday buffets. Yum.

After the bountiful buffet, we tried to get some Eastery/spring pictures outside. It was a lovely day. It turns out the river front wasn't very pretty - no flowers or anything... so we found a little park area on the way home and snapped up a couple (most of Zoey's backside - running away!) But I thought this was precious:

And here's one for my digital scrapbook (which is what this blog has blossomed into), Grandma and Zoey at the river. I think it was a nice moment captured... dandelion in hand and all! :)
