About Me

Hi!  I'm Trisha.  I live here at The Miller Manor.  Surrounded by discount flowers, mint, weeds, and "The Fairy Woods," The Miller Manor is a safe place, full of love and sprinkled with sarcasm and low-grade anxiety. 

I'm a tall person who talks with my hands.  I started this blog while I was pregnant with my daughter; she's eight now.  My interests have ebbed and flowed with my ever-changing life... When I helped to start a non profit about birth and parenting, the pages of this space were filled with like ideas and stories.  When I struggled with parenting and (unbeknownst at the time) thyroid disease, the MMM stories were wrought with stress and frustration (and thereby an all-out stop to the blog). 

Throughout it all my sweet Beana's pictures and childhood moments filled the pages.  I am so glad I recorded what moments I did.  It takes time to sit down and write.  It takes focus and faith to put the feelings in a permanent setting.  I'm ready to try again...  No promises to anyone or anything other than let's see what happens. 

Oh, and yes, for all of that About Me biography business.  I love coffee and Fiestaware. I like dark beer.  My head is constantly thinking about things to create, paint, make, or sell. I very much prefer to be called "Trisha" - but have the most terrible time telling people not to call me "Trish." I often speak without thinking things through and make myself sick going over everything in my head afterward. 

The Miller Manor is home to me, my husband, our daughter, and our cat Crinklehead.  (Sweet cat Annie passed in September 2015.)  I'm active on Instagram....  @TallOrderTrisha  Pictures speak volumes.
