Wanted: Best Friend.
Buddy. Pal. Girl Friday.  Someone to call on when I have a funny story to tell.  Someone to cry with me when I'm sad.  A girlie to talk about relationships, kids, family, sex, politics.  Someone to open my mind to new music and new fashions or simply enjoy the old ones with me.  A gal that likes to have a drink of red, a bottle of beer, or a chilled martini without it being a requirement for fun.  Someone who, with just a little notice, would jump in the car with me (and Z and whatever other kids are around) and go do something....  anything...  playground, restaurant, park, mall...the grocery store  And with a bit more notice would feel comfortable to travel, to explore.  Someone who felt as comfortable in my home as her own.  And I felt the same about hers.

Someone I trust.  Someone to make me laugh.  Someone who will listen and have ideas to share.

Is that too much to ask?

If so, can I just open it up to some nice person out there who will listen as well as talk.  Someone with whom I don't have to censor myself.  Someone who won't run off and tell everyone else my thoughts.
